  • Edmonton Healing Center For Grief and Loss - Edmonton based groups and individual support
  • Angel Whispers - Provides support to families who have experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy or after birth. Based in Edmonton.
  • Parent Care - Parent Care is a support group made up of Parents Helping Parents who have suffered the loss of a baby and is based in Edmonton.
  • Pilgrims Hospice - An Edmonton organization offering support and services to families. 
  • St. Albert Bereavement Fellowship - A non-denominational, non-profit, volunteer society. Our purpose is to provide support through compassion, understanding, education and friendship to those who have lost a loved-one through death.
  • The Canadian Mental Health Association - Support and distress lines.
  • Compassionate Friends - worldwide, supporting families after a child dies. 
  • Grieving Parents Society - A peer support group, which seeks to provide caring, compassion, understanding and friendship. Located in Edmonton.
  • Hospice Calgary - Located in Calgary Alberta, supporting people living with illness, or coping with grief.

  • MyGrief.ca - Canadian Virtual Hospice - a free, online, confidential support program.  
  • Canadian Virtual Hospice - Multiple pages of information, Q & As, online forums and professional support for both palliative and hospice care as well as grief and bereavement. They also have a service directory to local, regional and national (across Canada) not-for-profit support. 
  • Center For Loss, Dr. Alan Wolfelt - an organization dedicated to helping people who are grieving and those who care for them. The Center for Loss maintains a directory of people who have taken their Grief and Death Studies Certificate and have members from all over the world. You can view the list here, or call the Center directly at (970) 226-6050. The office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Mountain time, Monday through Friday.
  • Center for Loss and Trauma, Dr. Joanne Cacciatore - providing highly specialized mindfulness and nature based counseling. with a focus on traumatic grief. The Centre for Loss and Trauma and the MISS Foundation certify medical and mental health professionals around the world in their model of care – Compassionate Bereavement Care Certified Provider.
