Navigating the Holidays After Loss: Holding Space with Yoga
Holidays, major events, celebrations and anniversaries can be particularly challenging to deal with after loss. These events are deeply connected to our memories, hearts, traditions and families. Knowing how to navigate the day (days) can be daunting, complicated and wrought with emotion.
That's because your loss changes everything. In all the years I've run grief groups, what to do at Christmas (or other major holidays) is a topic of conversation. You are not alone in feeling uncertain about what this year will bring.
This 5 week mini-session during the Christmas season is designed to support you during this emotionally intense time, with both yoga, and the support of a group.
Yoga is a wonderful way to create time and space to honour yourself and your loss. This, combined with thoughtful and compassionate information to ponder about how to cope "season."
You will be in the group with other people who are navigating Christmas, and the shared wisdom can be so powerful.
Though scheduled around Christmas, this practice welcomes anyone navigating grief during the holiday season, regardless of which holidays or traditions you observe.

The first 15 will be the presentation of the topic/theme, and the next 75 will be gentle/restorative yoga which will help you explore your own needs for this Christmas season. These movement classes will be recorded and posted in a private classroom online.
